Thai people generally use vetiver roots and leaves for medicinal purposes. It is highly helpful for liquefying gallstones, treating diseases associated with bile and even curing stomach discomforts. Vetiver oil is also helpful to give relief in headache and in sprain.
I even heard that wonderful handicraft bags, home decoration pieces are made out of the long leaves of vetiver in Sri Lanka.
